Panthers demands action against DSEJ for facilitating illicit attachments of teachers
3/15/2021 11:42:32 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 15: Anguished over the total collapse of the educational system in J&K with massive cases of corrupt malpractices in Education Department coming to fore, Panthers Party accused the Director School Education Jammu (DSEJ) of facilitating attachments of teachers and masters by running her writ to cancel an order of detachment of teachers issued by the CEO Rajouri within a day in brazen defiance of Govt orders seeking detachments of the teachers from offices and their subsequent deputation to original place of posting.
Rebuking the reprobate move of Director School Education Jammu, Gagan Pratap Singh State Secretary JKNPP regretted that the rationalization policy of the School education department was thrown to winds in view of the DSE canceling the detachment orders of teachers issued by CEO Rajouri within a day. "This is bizarre. The CEO Rajouri has ordered repatriation of teaching staff of district Rajouri attached in District Jammu, wherein several teachers are attached with the office of DSEJ. Over and above, the DSE ordered the Joint Director to hold enquiry against the CEO Rajouri which has drawn widespread condemnation from all quarters", said Gagan.
Gagan Pratap Singh divulged that several schools in remote and far flung areas all across Jammu province have become defunct due to the shortage of teachers, masters and lecturers. He further stated that thousands of such incumbents are also drawing the HRA by causing huge burden on the public exchequer. Crores of rupees have been siphoned off by these employees. This tantamount to HRA scam, Singh asserted.
Drawing the attention of Lt Governor J&K, Gagan demanded high level probe and stringent action against the erring bureaucrat for her involvement in corrupt practices besides willful disobedience for not implementing the Govt orders seeking detachments of the teachers from administrative offices and sending them back to places of postings to discharge their duties. "Panthers party will be forced to lodge strong protests if all the illegal attaches were not relieved back to their duties", warned Singh.
