| Abolish contract labour: BMS | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sept 25: Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) today hold dharna before Divisional Commissioner Office, as a part of Nation wide agitational programme against contractual employment in the country. Addressing the workers labour leaders Laxman Ravinder Singh All India president Bhartiya Theka Mazdoor Mahasangh, Vijay Chandel president Harbans Choudhary general secretary, N.K. Gupta working president and Ashok Choudhary vice president expressed grave concern about engagement of contractual employment in the J&K State as well as in the country. Leaders said employers in private sector including state and central govt. are exploiting the workers even in highly qualified jobs. The negligence attitude of state as well as central labour department is not serious about matter as the so called labour supplier for regular nature of jobs and depriving the workers the benefits of industrial laws and also social security benefits, even wages are being very low and minimum wges are not being paid as per job category work. |
