| ‘White Knight- Noble, Valiant’ released | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sept 26: Army’s White Knight Corps has made a humble beginning to compile a book “White Knight – Noble and Valiant”. The book in its maiden attempt has been designed in content, layout and presentation to chronicle a wide range of events and activities since independence and while fighting terrorism in the state. It also portrays Army’s significant achievements in applying a healing touch to the traumatized segments of society by undertaking development works for women empowerment, education through Operation Sadbhavana and other projects. In customary military traditions and style, Lt Gen PC Bhardwaj, GOC-in-C Northern Command released the book “White Knight – Noble and valiant” to commemorate the historic occasion at Headquarters 16 Corps today. Speaking on the occasion, Army Commander, Northern Command stated that the book is a commendable compilation of 16 Corps experiences. It also epitomizes Army’s multidimensional role of guarding the Nations frontiers and in aids to civil authorities based on its strong professional and ethical foundation. The General Officer Commanding 16 Corps Lieutenant General RK Karwal and other senior Army Officers were also present on the occasion. |
