RAMBAN, Mar 18: The Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs today conducted market checking here in Main Bazaar Ramban.
The market checking squad comprising Assistant Director, FCS&CA, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Butt; Tehsil Supply Officer Ramban and police officers visited Bus stand, Baoli Bazar, Cafeteria Morh, Masjid Market and Upper Bazaar and inspected over 50 establishments. The team sensitised the shopkeepers, especially milk & milk product sellers, meat & chicken sellers, vegetable & fruit venders about extant rules and regulations.
The checking squad also booked 24 erring traders and realized a fine of Rs. 7100.00 from them.
The AD instructed shopkeepers to display rate lists and sell commodities on the rates fixed by Department/Associations. Owners of Food Joints and Restaurants were instructed to use only commercial LPG cylinders.
People belonging to these areas were also advised to approach the Department in case of any complaint. |
