| Woman held for graft granted bail | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sept 26: A state government employee working as Assistant compiler in the office of GP Fund, Shama Bakshi, was granted bail on Friday by the Special Judge (Anti -Corruption). The female employee was caught red-handed in a trap laid down by State Vigilance Organization, Jammu, while accepting bribe of Rs. 5000/- from complainant namely Swarna Devi for settlement of GP Fund case of her deceased husband. Special Judge (Anti-Corruption), Jammu, after hearing the arguments of DS Chauhan, Advocate for petitioner, and SPO for Vigilance Organization admitted the petitioner to bail while ordering her release from the custody of Vigilance Organization on furnishing bail bond and surety bond in an amount of Rs. 20, 000/- each with the conditions that she will remain associated with the investigation and abide by the instructions given by the Investigating Officer from time to time. Special Judge (Anti-Corruption), Jammu, further directed that petitioner will have no access to record pertaining to GP Fund case of deceased husband of the complainant and will not try to influence the complainant and other witnesses in any manner whatsoever. Breach of either of these conditions shall entail cancellation of bail. |
