RS PURA, Mar 20: Nation has a collective responsibility to build a social system that ensures the safety, security, and dignity of women in society.
This was stated by Taranjit Singh Tony, DDC member from Suchetgarh while leading an awareness rally on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao at the border town.
The programme was organised at Panchyat Ghar, Sai Khurd, under the overall supervision of Neeraj Bhargav, CDPO ICDS Project RS Pura in which Taranjit Singh Tony was the Chief Guest. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme with an aim to address the issue of declining Child Sex Ratio and related issues of disempowerment of women through a life cycle continuum, he added.

He said that from 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' to better health and education facilities, the government should redouble its efforts to achieve gender equity and empowerment of women. He emphasized that women as the architect of the society and should be highly revered.
Referring to initiatives of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, for ensuring empowerment of women and girl child, T S Tony said that the Beti Bacho Beti Padho scheme should be implemented in mission mode at grass roots level so that the girl child gets benefitted from this landmark programme.
