GDC Bhaderwah organizes technical workshop

JAMMU, Mar 20: Innovation, Incubation Centre (IIC) GDC Bhaderwah organized a day-long technical workshop and awareness camp on Innovation, Incubation and Training on theme Shaping the young minds in collaboration with Gujarat Grassroots Innovation Augmentation Network (GIAN) and Higher Education Department UT of Jammu and Kashmir. The programme was organised by IIC Coordinator Dr. Wahied Khawar Balwan, Assistant Professor Zoology and faculty members namely Prof. Ashwani Kumar, Prof. Jaideep, Prof. Arjun Kotwal, Dr. Anu Sharma , Dr. Sandeep Kotwal, Dr. Jangbahadur Singh under the guidance of Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Sharma, Principal GDC Bhaderwah. The inaugural session started with the welcome address by Dr. Kuldeep Sharma, Principal followed by Keynote address by Sanjeev Rana, Additional Secretary Higher Education Department Jammu and Kashmir. The invited lecture was delivered by Dr. Pankaj Mehta from central University Jammu followed by Dr. Mohd Ashfaq from Coordination cell HeD. The lecture on problem solving,Ideation and innovation were delivered by GIAN Incubation Manager Syed Nadeem and Sabzar Ahmed Wani, who later on also held pitching of ideas and student interaction session with students from different colleges of Chenab Valley like Bhaderwah, Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Thatri and Khilotran. The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. Sandeep Kotwal. The whole programme was compered by Dr. Wahied Khawar Balwan. The staff members who actively took part in the workshop included Prof. Davinder Kumar, Prof. Umar Din, Prof. NK Manhas, Prof. Mansa Ram, Prof. Surinder Singh, Mr. Zakir Ali, Prof. Mushtaq, Prof. Sanjay Katal along with students of the college particularly B.Sc Semester V students to make it a successful event.
