YCET students receive accolade at IIC Toycathon Awards

JAMMU, Mar 20: Further strengthening the motto “Where Excellence is just the beginning”, the 5th Sem. students of Electrical Engineering Department of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) grabbed accolade at IIC Toycathon Awards-2021 organized by Institutions Innovation Council - a MHRD, Govt. of India initiative under MIC activity. The Electrical Engineering students’ team of YCET was fortunate enough to be one of the teams selected for the final round and further upgrading themselves to next level of innovation and in the queue for outstanding innovative team award.
The students of Electrical Engineering Department of YCET submitted their project on “To make a Toy car from recyclable household waste material” which is made from non biodegradable household waste and can compete against Chinese toys which can promote micro, small & medium enterprises to achieve the mission of Atmanirbhar Bharat. The participants bringing laurels to the name of institution include Vinyak Sharma, Sayika and Vipul from 5th Sem. Electrical Engineering under the mentorship of Er. Loveneesh Talwar, HoD (Elecdtrical Engineering ). Our students looked at the awards as a mean to overcome societal challenges, with an aim to provide innovative and low cost solutions.
Appreciation was added by the Director YCET, Prof (Dr) A. K Srivastava, Chief-Coordinator and Er B R Verma commemorating the success of the students. The Student remitted the gesture by thanking the Director YCET, President of IIC, Cell Er. Dinesh Gupta and HoD of Electrical Engineering Department, Er Loveneesh Talwar for motivation. The management of YCET, Er Vidhi S Singh Jamwal, Chairman ( JGEI ) and Er. Renu Bangroo, Managing Director, JGEI took it upon themselves to personally congratulate the eminent students acknowledging their efforts.
