JAMMU, Sept 27: Impressing upon the Principals to improve the quality of education being imparted to the students by concentrating on latest trends and methods of teaching, Commissioner/Secretary Higher and Technical Education, K. A. Wani has also stressed the need for ensuring punctuality at all levels so that the students does not suffer.
He was reviewing the function of Government Degree Colleges of Jammu division at a meeting of principals at Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar.
The Principals of the colleges apprised the meeting about the subject combination introduced in the newly established colleges in the division.
They also projected their problems which included requirement of teaching and non-teaching staff and compensation to those whose land has been acquired for construction of colleges.
Wani assured that the demands would be look into for appropriate action.
Later, Wani also launched web site of Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar.
