| PANIC GRIPPED MATA VAISHNO DEVI SHRINE AFTER JAWAN COMMITTED SUICIDE AT BHAWAN | | | Katra,July 09 : Panic gripped Mata Vaishno devi shrine for about one hour on Sunday morning after pilgrims heard a gun shot at Bhawan around 11.00 a.m.
Secuirty personnel immediately swung in to action and launched search operations and later found out that one of the jawans posted on duty at Gouri Bhawan , Gyan Chand Sharma lying in pool of blood. Preliminary investigation report suggets jawan had committed suicide with his own service weapon and investigations are going on.
After thoroughly completing the search operations the yatra, which was halted to avoid any mishap was restored by the shrine board authorities around 12.00 p.m.
The police has started investigations and arrangements have ben made to shift the dead body from bhawan to katra fo carrying out postmortem.
