| Two RD officials suspended | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 27: Two rural development officials were placed under suspension with immediate effect on the basis of preliminary report of the Assistant Commissioner (Dev), Jammu on the charges of mishandling the departmental cement. Both the erring officials have been attached with the office of Assistant Commissioner (Dev), Jammu. The BDO, Bishnah has also been asked to explain his position on mismanagement and mishandling of the affairs of the block.
Further AA Mirza, Assistant Commissioner (Dev), Jammu has been appointed as Enquiry officer to conduct a detailed enquiry in to the matter and submit his findings within 15 days.
This action followed after a local daily newspaper published a report regarding seizure of 360 bags of cement belonging to block office by the Bishnah police.
Assistant Commissioner (Dev) Jammu was asked to visit the block and submit a fact-finding report by today itself. As per the preliminary report submitted by the Assistant Commissioner (Dev), Jammu after visiting the block office it has been indicated that Lal Chand, Storekeeper and Gaurav Sharma, VLW of the block were guilty of not exercising their legitimate duty in issuing of 360 bags of cement as per departmental norms/procedure.
The matter was also telephonically discussed by the Director, Rural Development Jammu with the Secretary to Government, RDD. |
