| Court grants bail to Bank Manager | | Trap case | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 27: Additional Sessions Judge Anticorruption Jammu Mr. Sanjeev Gupta today granted bail to Kulbir Singh Khajuria, Manager State Bank of India branch Ramsoo, who was caught red-handed by the CBI/ACB team on September 23, 2008 while accepting Rs 3000 as bribe from the complainant.
While granting bail in favour of the petitioner, Additional Sessions Judge Anticorruption, after hearing Sr. PP SK Bhat appearing for the CBI and Adv Rameshwar Sharma appearing for the accused and also going through the report filed by the CBI/ACB, observed that the accused is in custody and his continuous detention in the CBI custody amounts to punishment before the trial of the case. Accordingly this bail application is accepted and accused is admitted to bail provided he furnishes surety bond and personal bond to the tune of Rs 25000 each with the certain directions. JNF |
