JAMMU, Sept 27: Jourian zone clinched the kho-kho trophy in annual inter-zonal girls competitions of Jammu district organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Higher Secondary School, Domana near here today.
In the final, played today, Jourian zone defeated Akhnoor zone in extra time after the match ended in a draw in the stipulated time.
On the final day of the four-day competitions, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Jai Ra was chief guest. He gave away winners and runners-up trophies besides certificates of merit to the first two position holders. Principal of the host Domana school, Vishnu Gupta was also present.
Earlier, in the first phase boys competitions took place for two days, followed by the girls event.
Among others, who were present on the conluding day of girls competitions, were Tirath Ram, Jeet Singh, Chanchal Kour, Usha Jamwal, Sunita Jamwal and Vijay Male. |
