| Bajwa for strengthening Mufti | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SUCHETGARH, Sept 28: Cautioning people against some vested interests, who are hell bent to divide society for petty political gains, Rajya Sabha member Trilok Singh Bajwa today said that it was high time to strengthen hands of Mufti Mohammad Sayed to restore lasting peace in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that pro-peace policies being propagated by PDP, since its formation, has yielded encouraging results and added that the prevailing peace on International Border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC) was result of the policies and programmes of PDP. Addressing an impressive public meeting at Suchetgarh, Bajwa reminded that before formation of PDP led government in Jammu and Kashmir, situation was worst in border areas. Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir has carved out a new path of peace and tranquility in this region, he said and called upon the people to strengthen the PDP for better future and prosperity in the State. PDP Mahila wing president and former MLA Shanti Devi, while speaking on the occasion said that before 2002 there were complaints of step motherly treatment and discrimination with Jammu and Ladakh regions adding that PDP during its rule ensured equal treatment to all the three regions of the state. |
