| Mysterious murder worked out, accused held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 28: In a significant breakthrough, Jammu Police claimed to have solved a mysterious murder case within hours when they arrested the accused.
Police spokesman said that on 27-9-2008 during late hours one Kaku Ram about 45 years son of Chet Ram of Sunjwan was murdered by his neighbour Babu son of Sukh Ram resident of Sunjwan under the jurisdictional PS Trikuta Nagar upon the old enmity .
On receipt of the information SDPO East Sandeep Mehta and Inspector Wahid Giri rushed on the spot and after shifting the body to hospital for legal formalities, they started a massive manhunt for the culprit.
"Due to concerted efforts made by the police throughout night which was supervised by the SSP Jammu Manohar Singh and SP South Mubassir Latifi succeeded them to nab the accused person in the wee hours today" the spokesman said.
The accused Babbu son of Sukh Ram was arrested and Case FIR No. 185/2008 U/S 302 RPC was registered in Police Station Trikuta Nagar. |
