Forum anguished over third degree torture meted out to youth

Jammu, Mar 30: All J&K POJK 1947 Sharnarthi Intellectual Forum called an emergency meeting under the chairmanship of Amrik Singh president of the forum and joined by S.Surjit.Singh general secretary. The Forum members felt anguished over third degree torture meted out to a Sikh youth named by NIA (National Investigation Agency) at Jammu. Further Forum expressed their reservation over this cruel and barbaric act alleged by this agency and we will say that this is the clear cut violation of the human rights and also urged upon the chairman of Human Rights Commission to take this serious nature case under its control and investigate honestly because the entire Sikh Community is feeling insecure and saddened. The Forum elaborated that in the Indian constitution every provision of law provides its remedy and if any sort of crime done by the culprits law is there to take its own course of action. Snce the victim is the citizen of J&K as well as of India and also belongs to a respectable family and also nobody is above the law. The members also expressed that since if any sort of wrong or crime committed by the culprits then there is every remedy in the law and no law permits to beat a person like animal. The forum unanimously and in strong words condemned this shameful act done by the NIA and appeal to Lt Governor of J&K UT and also to the Director general of police to investigate this episode and take stern action against the erring official culprits.
