DDC Udhampur reviews issues of public living along NH-44 with PRIs

UDHAMPUR, Mar 30: To discuss and redress the grievances and issues of the general public of villages located along National Highway, District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Indu Kanwal Chib today convened a meeting of members of Panchayati Raj Institutions.
The meeting was attended by District Development Council Members, Block Development Council Chairpersons and Sarpanchs besides Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Syed Khan, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Viqar Giri, Assistant Commissioner Development, Mushtaq Chowdhary and other District Officers.
Threadbare discussion were held on various issues which include completion of PMGSY roads within jurisdiction of NH-44 from Udhampur to Chenani, restoration of damage caused to take off points of three PMGSY link roads due to widening of NH-44, Viz Moud to Patlian upto upper Moud stage-II, Samroli to upper Samroli stage-II, Narsoo to Thani Dhar stage-I, Up gradation of road from Garhi to Malhar, Construction of toilets on NH-44 for utilization during Amar Nath Yatra 2021, restoration of Water Supply Scheme damaged in Panchayat Moud, Shortage of drinking water at Lower Mada, Houses pending for water supply in Ward number-02 Panchayat Kud, corrective measures in the major slide prone areas on NH-44 from Tikri to Chenani Nashri Tunnel .
The DDCs, BDCs and concerned Sarpanchs of adjoining villages of NH-44 projected various issues and problems being faced by the villagers.
The DDC issued on the spot instructions to concerned officers for resolving the problems being faced by the people.
She also called upon the DDCs, BDCs and Sarpanchs to extend cooperation to facilitate speedy execution of development works.
