DC Samba listens to peoples' issues at public grievances redressal camp

SAMBA, Mar 30: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Samba, Anuradha Gupta, today held a maiden public grievances redressal camp as a part of public outreach and feedback initiative.
A large number of people from Samba, Purmandal, Bari Brahmana, Bhalwal Gurah Salathian, ghagwal and other border blocks projected their grievances before the Deputy Commissioner. On the occasion, the DC said that the 3 day a week public hearing has been made a continuous feature of District Administration on the directions of Lieutenant Governor, J&K UT and the people can visit her office on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday between 10:30am to 11:30am. The DC said that apart from public hearing at his office three days in a week, weekly Block Divas/Public Darbars are being conducted on every Wednesday at block level where people are registering their demands and grievances and are getting timely redressal of their issues.
The DC heard public patiently and issued directions to the concerned officers for immediate redressal of the grievances like repair of roads, availability of drinking water, regular electricity supply, primary school structures and augmentation of medical facilities in the district. While issuing directions to the officers, the DC laid emphasis upon having regular feedback from the public besides also submitting the action taken report to her office.
The Public Hearing grievance was attended by Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Suram Chand Sharma and Assistant Commissioner Revenue Jitender Mishra, district information officer Ajay Sharma besides other concerned officers were also present.
