| 35 kg RDX recovered from Rajouri, Poonch | | | Jammu, Sep 11 Security forces have recovered a huge cache of arms and explosives, including 35 kgs of RDX, from two militant hideouts in Rajouri and Poonch districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a joint operation by Rashtriya Rifles (RR) troops and police, a natural cave, which was being used as a hideout by miltants, was raided at Kuth Gali in Thanamandi area of Rajouri district yesterday, official sources said here today.
Security forces recovered 35 kgs of RDX, nine Chinese grenades, 220 rounds of AK ammunition, four IED switches, five and a half meters of cordex wire, one radio set and 20 dura cells, they said.
Another hideout was busted by security forces during a search operation at Sanai in Mendhar tehsil of Poonch district.
The recoveries from the hideout included 348 rounds of AK ammunition, one AK magazine, ten UBGL grenades, three hand grenades and one anti-personnel mine, the sources said. |
