Jammu, Mar 30: Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta said that Jammu and Kashmir is now fast marching on the path of development and the Government’s policy of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas, Sabka Vishwas’ is being implemented on ground there. Gupta was speaking after starting black topping work in Sector D and G of Ward No 69 in Gandhi Nagar Constituency in presence of Ward’s Corporator Gurmeet Randhawa; Vinay Gupta, District President, Lucky Puri Mandal President and Narinder Koki Secretary. Kavinder Gupta said with the revocation of Article 370, the BJP-led Central Government’s work for every section of the society has been finally able to reach the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The people of Jammu and Kashmir are finally reaping the benefits of plethora of welfare schemes launched by the government, he added. The senior BJP leader emphasised upon the need for the spread of the Modi government’s flagship schemes to the masses that can avail benefits of the scheme through implementing agencies and sought active participation of everyone in the implementation of the development and welfare schemes launched by Union Government. He also reiterated that the Centre has launched multiple schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP), AB PM-JAY SEHAT scheme, Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, PM-KISAN (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi) Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Dhan Jan Yojana, PM Garib Kalyan Yojana (PMGKY) and several others. The former Deputy Chief Minister exhorted upon the people of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory to reap the maximum benefits of these scheme for their overall upliftment. Kavinder Gupta, while stressing upon the executing agency to maintain quality of the work, said that it should be completed within the prescribed time. He also assured that besides development projects, various welfare schemes meant for the socio-economic upliftment of the poor and needy will be taken at the door steps of the genuinely deserving people in the constituency.
The senior BJP leader also appealed to the people of J&K to get united and support Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UT Government's proactive measures to contain the spread of coronavirus contagion and strictly follow guidelines issued on various occasions.
Among others who were present include D.R Kapoor, Col D.K Sharma, Retd DySP Vijay Choudhary, O.P Magotra, Mahaveer Singh Nagyal and Gian Singh Salathia.
