"We have lodged a strong protest with our Pakistani counterparts at border out post in Jammu frontier yesterday over an attempt to push in ultras under the cover of Pak firing in Pargwal area of Jammu district," official sources told PTI. The protests were registered with Pakistan Rangers in Pargwal sub-sector of Jammu frontier between Battalion Commandant of BSF and Wing Commander of Chinab Rangers. When BSF has shown them the ground proofs of infiltration attempt and grenade blast marks, the Pakistan side said it was handiwork of militants and promised probe into the incident, they said. "A group of 10 to 12 militants have tried to enter into Indian side from Pakistan's Shah Jamaal Din post under the cover of Pakistan firing in Chak Fagwari yesterday, however, BSF foiled the infiltration bid. Earlier on August 26, a group of 20-30 ultras from across the border opened indiscriminate firing on border patrol parties in Kanachak area and three ultras infiltrated through the tent post by cutting a three-tier fence.
