| JKNPP to fight for empowerment of Jammu | | Projects Bhim as next CM | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sept 28: Lashing out at Congress for ignoring constitution of Delimitation Commission , Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) Chairman Prof Bhim Singh on Sunday has said ‘that Delimitation is a soul of democracy’ and Panthers shall fight for political empowerment of Jammu. Addressing at special session of provincial council of JKNPP here today, Prof Bhim Singh said that all the discrimination at political, economic, developmental, linguistic level must come to an end and Jammu province must get 50% shares in the Legislature, in developmental funds, in recruitment and admission in the professional colleges. Referring to the recent agitation on Amanath land row, Prof Singh while appreciating Jammuites for its role and maintaining communal amity, said JKNPP respected the sentiments of people and even lodged protests and fast unto death. Holding the NC, the Congress and the PDP responsible for the poor plight of people of Jammu, he said that " these parties right from past discriminated against Jammu region in all sectors and gagged the voice of people of Jammu at every forum". On the occasion, Harsh Dev Singh, chief spokesperson and general secretary unveiled the party resolution which was unanimously adopted by thousands of delegates and active members. The resolution envisages holding of Delimitation of the Assembly constituency after every census. The political resolution adopted by the party proposed Bhim Singh as next Chief Minister who enjoys highest degree of acceptance by all the three regions of the state. |
