| JMCC for release of salary on Eid-ul-Fitr, Navratras | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sept 29: While reviewing the outcome of their meeting with the state Governor here on Saturday the Jammu Muslim Coordination Committee in an emergent meeting today urged upon the government to release salaries to the employees of all the communities on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr and Navratras. The members of the JMCC have expressed satisfaction over the manner in which the delegation presented facts and issues that needed immediate attention of the Governor. The memorandum submitted to the Governor particularly highlighted the injustices to which Muslim community of Jammu region were subjected to during the past sixty two years by the successive state and central governments. The Governor was also apprised of the circumstances which led to the economic, educational, vocational and social deprivation of the community and requested him to envisage schemes specifically for elevation of their miserable plight. The members also impressed upon the Governor that adequate compensation be also provided to the Muslims of Jammu whose property was looted or damaged or suffered business losses during the recent agitation. The members also extended Eid greetings to one and all and impressed upon them to work for the revitalization of all human and secular values which had suffered enormously during the past few months. |
