| Deputy Director FPF in vigilance net | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 29: Deputy Director, Forest Protection Force, Budgam, Noor Mohammad was caught red handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a subordinate for issuing reinstatement order.
Case FIR No 30/2008 P/S VOK was registered on the complaint of one Peer Siraj Din, Inspector Forest Protection Force, Budgam alleging therein that he was placed under suspension by the Deputy Director on some flimsy grounds. An enquiry, following his suspension was completed in March 2008 and he was recommended for reinstatement by the Director Forest Protection Force. However, Deputy Director Forest Protection Force Budgam did not reinstate him and demanded illegal gratification.
Officials of the State Vigilance Organization, during the course of investigation laid a successful trap during which the Deputy Director was caught red-handed while accepting bribe from the complainant. The tainted money was recovered from his possession in presence of independent witness. He was taken into custody for further investigation. |
