| 5 RD officials suspended | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 29: Five officials of Block Development Office Marh was placed under suspension following their unauthorized absence from duty.
This action followed when the Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Dr. Mandeep K. Bhandari along with Assistant Commissioner (Rev), Jammu made a surprise visit to various educational institutions and other offices in Marh block, Jammu.
During the visit, Bhandari inspected Government Middle School, Gole Pattan, Government Middle School Chatha Gujran, Government Primary School Marh and Block Development Office Marh. Five officials of BDO office who were found absent unauthorizedly were placed under suspension.
Deputy Commissioner asked all the officers and officials to perform their duties with utmost zeal and dedication for redressal of public grievances.
Dussehra, Eid celebration arrangements finalized
Udhampur, Sept 29- Arrangement were finalized for celebration of Dusshera at a meeting convened by the Deptuy Commissioner Ajay Khajuria here today.
It was decided in the meeting that the main function would be held at Sports Stadium, where the effigies of Devil King Ravna, Kumbkarna and Megnatha would be installed and consigned to flames on Dussehra day.
The meeting finalized the arrangements like water and power supply, security, sanitation, seating and barricading at the main function site. The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to ensure adequate supply of drinking water, proper sanitation and security besides ensuring traffic regulations.
The prominent was also attended by the prominent citizens besides the members of the Dussehra Celebration Committee and Chamber of Commerce. |
