| DESECRATION OF STATUE : SHIV SENA BLOCK TRAFFIC ON TAWI BRIDGE | | | Jammu, July 09, : Activists of Shiv Sena (Bal Thackrey) today blocked traffic on Tawi bridge to lodge their protest against desecration of statue of Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray's wife at Shivaji Park in Mumbai on Sunday morning.
The activists of Shiv Sena were lead by President of the state unit Anan Sharma .Large number of Shiv sena activists joined the protest and staged sit in dharna blocking traffic on the Tawi bridge.
The Shiv sainiks raised slogans and also burnt down effigy of Samajwadi party chief (Maharashtra unit) Abu Azmi .
They also demanded dismissal of Maharashtra government if it failed to arrest the guilty.The traffic on the bridge was halted for over half after which the blockade was lifted.
