| Deepak Handa elected Yoga Association president | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 30: Jammu and Kashmir Yoga Association, in its Annual General Meeting (AGM) held here elected Deepak Handa as new president of the Association.
Romesh Mahajan has been made patron-in-chief while Surinder Pathak has replaced Man Mohan Sharma as general secretary of the Association, a handout issued by the Association here today said.
General secretary of J&K Boxing Association, Dr Nirmolak Singh has been made treasurer while Prof Ajit Angral (Jammu) and Sheikh Tulal Ahmed (Kashmir) have been elected as vice-president.
Mohd Ayub was nominated as associate secretary while Jyoti Kumar (Jammu) and Rouf Ahmed (Kashmir) were named as joint secretaries of the Association.
The elections were observed by Rangil Singh and Flail Singh representing J&K Olympic Association and State Sports Council respectively.
Executive Committee: Dr Virdev Singh Jamwal, Prof R C Thakur, Prof H S Chib, P D Singh, Anil Kumar, Surinder Kumar, Shabir Ahmed, Naseema, Sarabjit Singh and Tanvir Ahmed. |
