NGPPWF seeks removal of pay anomaly
4/12/2021 12:22:12 AM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Apr 11: Non-Gazetted Police Pensioners Welfare Forum (NGPPWF) J&K has reiterated its demand to remove pay anomaly.
Forum said that Govt. Order No. 229-F of 2014 dated 17-10-2014 regarding pay anomaly is injustice with the police pensioners as the effect is being given prospectively, which means from the date of order whereas, the effect should have been given from the year 1996 when 5th pay commission was implemented throughout the State but only the Police Department was left out, adding that the surviving strugglers should get the benefit.
It further said that the promotion policy in Armed and Executive is not uniform in the sense that Armed Police get 20% promotion whereas Executive Cadre gets 50% cadre other get 30% of promotion quota. Therefore, we demand to rationalize this promotion policy among all the cadres. The Forum sought a transparent transfer due to which the frustration is growing among the employees.
Therefore, it also needed to be looked into for the sake of providing justice to the disgruntled employees while it also demanded to regularize SPOs as they are not made permanent from the last 20 years, adding that all those who have completed 20 years of service should automatically be made permanent without any quota basis.
