JAMMU, Oct 1: Khadi and Village Industries Commission, Government of India, has announced 20 per cent special rebate on Cotton and woolen Khadi, as also on Polyvastra FOR 180 days with effect from October 3, 2008.
The Commission, on the occasion of Gandhi Jyanti, is also expecting that J&K Khadi and Village Industries Boards would provide 5 per cent rebate and KVI institutions of the state additional 5 per cent rebate on cotton, silk, woolen and polyvastra, thus making the total rebate to 30 per cent during this period. This type of rebate is being offered by the KVIC to its esteemed customers every year.
Apart from this, the KVIC is also implementing Prime Ministers Employment Generation Programme all over the state to eradicate poverty and unemployment from rural and urban areas. The KVIC has provided employment opportunity to 1, 98, 543 persons in the state during the last year. |
