4 blasts in Agartala town, over 20 injured

AGARTALA, Oct 1: Over 20 people were injured and one reported dead in serial bomb blasts at four places of Agartala town on Wednesday evening. Another bomb was detected and defused before it exploded, police say.
Four blasts took place in the Agartala town and it being the eve of Eid and the on-going Navratri festival, the areas were crowded- thronged by innocent civilians out to celebrate.
Reports suggest the first blast took place at7.30 pm, the second at 7.35 pm in MG Bazaar of Radhanagar while the third occurred at 8.15 pm. 2 blasts occurred at a bus stand while one in a local market.
“Four blasts have occurred in Agartala town. One bomb has been detected and defused,” SP of Agartala, Shreeyesh informed a TV channel. He said it would be too early to point fingers at anybody. Bangladeshi terrorists are active in Assam and Tripura and 6 alleged HuJI men were shot dead in Assam last week.
