| Hold separate selection for Jammu: Panthers | | MBBS list | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 4: Chairman, JKNPP, Prof. Bhim Singh in a press statement has said, that the recent list for MBBS selections has once again shown the discrimination and oppression against Jammu people. He said both state and centre governments are not well wisher of Jammuties. He said last time only 13 candidates were selected in finance department while rest were taken from valley out of 252, and now only 93 candidates are from Jammu, while 197 candidates are taken from Kashmir. Bhim said, most of Jammu candidates cannot afford to join valley based medical colleges for security reasons even if selected. Jammu has its own medical colleges so are in Srinagar. Selection for Jammu colleges should be done from Jammu region itself and same principle be adopted fro Kashmir. Bhim urged Governor N.N Vohra to issue ordinance accordingly in the interest of justice and equity to the students of both regions lest integrity of the state get paralyzed. |
