| Scrap list of professional colleges: Milchar Front | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 4: General Secretary J&K Milachar Front, K.K Rao has condemned the discriminatory admission lists for professional colleges issued by J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination. As per press release Rao has demands an immediate scrapping of the selection list and an enquiry into selection process and policy of the state government as there is apparently a foul play in the selection of students in MBBS, BDS, BVSC. Courses where candidates from Jammu region have not been given a fair deal. Rao demanded for implementation of 1998 Singhal committee report. The Singhal Committee had recommended that the selection list of Jammu as well as Kashmir province be prepared separately. All admissions to the professional colleges (government or private) should be made by the respective universities in accordance with their admission rules and acts. The seats in the Jammu colleges should be allocated to candidates from Jammu Division and those in Kashmir colleges from the Kashmir Division by their respective Universities. Seats for Ladakh region should be reserved separately in both the Universities. By implementing the Singhal Committee report. Government would give rest to the misgivings prevailing among the candidates. |
