| Clerks threaten strike on pay anomalies | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 4:Jammu, Oct 4-Leaders of the All J&K departmental clerical staff Association has served a fresh ultimatum of fifteen days to the state government to resolve pay anomalies and allied issues failing which the clerical staff association would revive its strike till their demands were met. Addressing media persons during a stage in o demonstration, organized outside the office of the Divisional commissioner here, Ram Kumar Sharma said today we have served a fifteen days ultimatum to the state government to issue fresh orders settling their long pending demand of pay anomalies. Sharma said, besides pay anomalies, all other issues taken up with the state government from time to time should also be addressed and clerical staff should be given relief. Sharma said we called off our agitation in July in the interest of the masses and now after waiting for too long when state government failed to take up the issue on its own we have decided to serve fresh ultimatum to the government. Sharma warned the state administration not to take it lightly as the strike would be crucial especially ahead of forthcoming assembly polls in the state. |
