SRINAGAR, Oct 4: Governor, N N Vohra, hosted an Eid Milan at the magnificent Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Complex (SKICC) lawns, on the banks of the Dal Lake here today.
The Eid Milan was attended by a galaxy of the leaders of various socio-political organizations, including former Chief Ministers, Mufti Mohammed Sayed and Ghulam Nabi Azad, former legislators, intellectuals, academicians, senior Civil, Army and Police officers, members of the media corps and prominent citizens.
Advisors to Governor, H H Tyabji, Dr Sudhir S Bloeria and C Phunsog, Economic Advisor to Jammu and Kashmir Government, Dr Haseeb Drabu, Chairman, Public Service Commission, Mohammed Shafi Pandit, Vice Chancellor, University of Kashmir, Prof Riaz Punjabi, Vice Chancellor of Islamic University of Science and Technology, Prof Sidiq Wahid, Corps Commander, 15 Corps, Lt General Mukesh Sabherwal and other top ranking officials were also present.
The Governor went round the lawns, met the invitees and exchanged pleasantries with them. |
