SAYSS meet today, tension expected

JAMMU, Oct 4: The Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangharsh Samiti is holding a function to honour the families of the martyrs of Jammu agitation and offer them compensation here tomorrow.
The function is being held at the Sanatan Bharam Sabha School in Rehari. Religious leaders from different parts of country are likely to participate in the function.
The Police are expecting participation of Vishva Hindu Parishad leader Parveen Togadia. Sources said that the Police may try to prevent Togadia from attending the function on various grounds. This may spark off tension.
In order to honour the families of the martyrs and Sadhu Samaj who did commendable job during the two month long agitation, the Samiti is holding this special function. Compensation of around Rs lakhs each shall also be announced to next of the kin of martyrs who laid down their life during agitation.
It may be recalled here that the Samiti had earlier scheduled this function for September 20 but it could not be held due to controversial reasons.
