NOWSHERA, Apr 24: Department of Botany in collaboration with Department of Environmental Science, Government Degree College, Nowshera celebrated Earth Day 2021 by spreading awareness on environment conservation.
The students were motivated to recycle the solid waste items at their homes to help to manage the waste at source itself.
The theme for the event was “From Waste to Wealth”. The students participated enthusiastically and prepared various items likes Pen Stands, Storage Cabinets, Decorative Pieces, Vases etc.
The usage of solid waste not only helps in reducing the waste but also making beautiful items just out of nothing in a cost effective manner.
Dr. Surinder Kumar, Principal of the college, applauded the faculties of Department of Botany and Environmental Science for conducting such an activity that provided a platform to students to bring forward their talent. |
