JAMMU, Oct 5: Commenting on the statement of BJP Vice president, Prof Hair Om, senior National Conference leader Rattan Lal Gupta said in J&K BJP has always tried to stand on the name of region and religion. ‘BJP gave the slogan of "Economic Blockade" which led to religion and regional divide and vitiated the peaceful atmosphere of Jammu and Kashmir especially that of Jammu region, he alleged and said that the problem being faced by the traders of Jammu is the creation of BJP.
Gupta said BJP from the day one of the 63 day agitation in Jammu tried it utmost to play vote politics ignoring the basic interest of the daily earners, farmers, transporters, traders and even chabawallas and rehriwallas and moreover the BJP which was part of Sangarsh Samiti could not get anything concrete as compensation in the agreement reached between the government.
BJP leaders should first introspect their actions during the agitation and then talk, he said, adding that it is astonishing that party which claims to rule the country after the next Parliament elections is dividing Jammu and Kashmir State on the basis of religion and region. He said since last 18 years what separatist could not do, BJP did it in consolidating the separatists in 63 days. On the one hand the BJP claims to be the tallest nationalist and while on the other hand they consolidated the separatist. This double speak politics of the BJP is going to have serious repercussions in the country, state and Jammu in particular. |
