| Rana for isolating communal forces | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT R.S. PURA, Oct 5: Member Legislative Council and National Conference leader, Devender Singh Rana has said that time has come when the people of the state must isolate divisive and communal forces who were trying to divide the state on communal, regional and religious lines. Addressing two public meetings at Chack Shain and Rathana in R.S. Pura Assembly Constituency here today, Rana said some political groups are raising communal passions little realizing that the strength of the Nation is its secularism and all the nationalist forces must put their untiring efforts to strengthen the composite secular character of the Nation. He said Jammu and Kashmir is passing through a difficult time and all the right thinking people must get together to defeat the forces which are creating a wedge and divide within the state on regional, religious, caste or ethnic considerations Rana said National Conference is a party committed to communal harmony, brotherhood and equitable distribution of resources among all the three regions of the state and shall always strive for the upliftment of the downtrodden irrespective of their caste, creed, colour or religion. Romesh Motan, National Conference leader from R.S. Pura said he has spent all his life in the service of the people of R.S. Pura and shall continue to do so in future also. He said unfortunately R.S. Pura Assembly Constituency has been neglected for the last three years and it will be his endeavor to strive hard to develop it.. Arshad Chowdhary , Ranjit Singh Chib, Block President R.S. Pura, Balwinder Singh, Block President Miran Sahib, Satnam Singh Bhatti and Raj Kumar also addressed the meetings. |
