| SMVDU teacher shines in Turkey | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 5: Dr Sunil Kumar Wanchoo, Assistant Professor in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University has bagged the best paper award for his paper, “Superconductor- Ferro magnet bilayers; experimental investigation of the spin polarized transport across the interface” at Antalya in Turkey. Dr Wanchoo participated in international conference on Superconductivity and Magnetis-2008, organized by Ankara University at its side campus in Antalya, Turkey. Over 500 delegates from across the world participated in this conference. This included scientists from IIT Delhi, Rajasthan University, National Physical Laboratory, Delhi apart from SMVDU, where from Dr Wanchoo participated. The main feature of the conference was five parallel sessions which were held during the conference. In all 500 scholars from about 50 countries participated in the conference. Dr Wanchoo presented his paper titles “Superconductor-Ferro magnet bilayers; Experimental investigation of the spin polarized transport across the interface”. Dr Wanchoo paper was rated among the top four contributions of over 180 presentations made in his category by scientists/academicians from all over the world. Papers presented by Dr Surjeet Chowday, Associate Professor, Physics Department, IITD were also selected among the top four publications. |
