| Function held on environment | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT R.S. PURA, Oct 6: On the eve of wild life week, a colourful function was organized by the ‘Global Green peace and environment protection (GGPEP) at Rangpur Maulinina near Indo-Pak border here today. On the occasion people of the area were made aware about the importance of conservation of wild life. Organisers made day modeling of different species of birds and animals especially or endangered species like vulture and snow lepord. President of GGEPP, Davinder Choudhary speaking on the occasion said food chain play a important role. He said stable and diversified food offer a better chance of survival to animals living in forest. He said the reason for extinction of snow lepord is that the natural resources of food is becoming scare. Animals which fed on plants are also facing danger. |
