| K.C. Public School Excels in Rifle/Pistol Shooting Competition | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 6: KC Publoic School students excelled in Inter-School District Rifle/Pistol shooting competition which was organized by J&K Rifle Shooting Association at Gulshan Ground Shooting Range, Police Line, Jammu, in order to promote the game among the youth. s per a release KC Public School bagged 8 medals which include 3 Gold, 3 Silver, and 2 Bronze. In Junior boys category of 177 Air Rifle event, Manhar Singh and Arnav Raina from K.C. Public School won Gold and Silver medals respectively. In Junior boys section of 177 Air Pistol, Siddhant Chowdhary bagged Silver Medal. Earlier, in the Sub-Junior boys category in 10 mtrs. 177 Air Rifle event, Mayank Arora of K.C. Public School won Gold Medal and Aman Mehta claimed Silver medal.
In the Sub- Junior boys section of 177 Air Pistal event K.C. Public School made clean sweep by securing all the top three spots. Mohd. Imran Siddique, Aman Mehta and Harry Sood were the three shooters, who have shared the first three places and won Gold, Silver and Bronze medals respectively. All the medal winners have been selected to represent Jammu district in the state Level Championship which will be held from 7th to 9th October at the same venue. Over all team championship was also won by K.C.Public School.
Principal of K.C. School, Jorawal Singh congratulated the students and apprecitated the efforts of school shooting team in a special assembly organized in the school to felicitate them the release added. |
