| Folk program held at Marh | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 7: J&K Academy of Art, Culture and languages (JKACCL) organized Folk Music Programme at Shakti Shiksha Kendra, Hr. Secondary School, Marh Block today in which staff of the Marh welcoming the staff, students and local audience. Shamima Akhtar of JKACCL gave a brief of various literary and cultural activities launched by the Cultural Academy to promote art, culture and languages. She said cultural academy is making constant efforts to provide platform to artists and poets of rural areas so that they get an opportunity to project their talent and literary skill. She urged upon the students of the school to take maximum participation in literary and cultural activities besides their academic studies, so that they get rid of the sense of hesitation which serves as an hindrance in the over all development of their personality.
Principal, S. S Higher Secondary School, Marh Lal Chand who was the chief guest expressed his appreciation and thanks to academy for providing an exposure to the students of the school and opportunity to interact with the singer.
Shiv Dass and Party, Arjun Singh and Party, Ghardhari Lal and Party, Prayog Raj and Party, Radha Shyam and Party, Ghur Ram and Party, Avtar Kour, Bandhu Sharma and Sunita Sharma, Shakuntla Shymal, Kamla and Yougash have participated in the programme. |
