| Retrenched Class IV employees stage sit-in | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 7: The class 4th employees of Excise and Commercial Taxes on Tuesday organized a sit in dharna to protest against their ouster even after working for the period of nine to twelve years.
A large number of employees assembled in front of the Excise and Commercial Taxes office at Gandhi Nagar and raised slogans against the government.
Talking to media persons, the President of Association Adil Rashid Khan said that on the one hand government is claiming that it is doing every thing to engage the unemployed youth of state but the fact is that it is even ousting those who worked for the long period of ten to twelve years.
He said that government only made promises with them but did practically nothing to heal their wounds.
He asked Governor to intervene into the matter and do the justice with 209 ousted class fourth employees of the department. |
