| Sufficient K-oil in Kalakote, DC Rajouri claims | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT RAJOURI, Oct 7: Reacting to a news item appearing in Monday issue of this newspaper, the District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Rafiq Ahmed Sheikh has claimed that there is sufficient availability of kerosene oil in Kalakote tehsil of the district. The Early Times, based on allegations of the local people and confirmation from the sources, has reported in its October 6 issue, that Kalakote block is hit by kerosene scarcity as entire supply allotted to the region does not reach its destination. The DC, however, claimed that he visited Kalakote and spoke to the local people about availability of kerosene oil and no such complaint came to his notice. The district administration today said that there was no shortage of kerosene oil in any part of the district adding that the District Development Commissioner was personally monitoring the supply of essential commodities including kerosene oil and LPG in the entire district with special emphasis on the stocks at far-flung areas of the district. The district administration said that the DDC accompanied with Assistant Director CAPD and Tehsildar conducted an extensive tour of Kalakote area to review the supply of essential commodities including kerosene oil on ground. They also interacted with the inhabitants of the region to ascertain about the shortages in supply but no such complaint of shortage of essentials, LPG and kerosene oil was reported from anywhere. |
