| Measures afoot to end fertilizers shortage | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, Oct 7: To off set the deficiency of the chemical fertilizers in Jammu and Kashmir, the controller of fertilizers in the state has taken up the matter with the Union Ministry of Fertilizers and Chemicals and also with the IFFCO. The state is immediately requiring of 3 rakes (7500 MTs) of Urea, 2 rakes (5000 MTs) of DAP and one rake (2500) MTs) of MOP fertilizers. Of this, one rake of DAP fertilizer of 2660 MTs stands supplied to the distributing agencies for making it available to the farmers. |
