Poonch Police appeal people to observe weekend lockdown sincerely
5/9/2021 11:14:57 PM
Early Times Report

Poonch, May 9: Poonch Police have appealed to the people to cooperate with police for proper imposition of weekend lockdown so that the chain of COVID-19 be stopped. After a tweet of LG Administration to impose weekend lockdown across the JK UT, the police have come into action to implement it on the ground.
The traffic police in Poonch have been working hard to regulate the traffic in this pandemic. They are ensuring that only emergency cases should be allowed during lockdown and unnecessary movement be avoided.
SSP Poonch has fervently appealed to the public to follow SOPs and to observe lockdown. He pointed out towards the shops selling essential commodities to shut their establishment within a specified time period in order to avoid any legal action.
It has been observed that police have lodged many FIRs against shopkeepers for violating guidelines. “We are not against the general public but following the COVID guidelines is the prime duty of everyone and any violator will not be spared so it is better to adhere to the guidelines,” SSP Poonch said.
Meanwhile, SO Traffic Poonch said that they have been asking all not to compel them to take action against the violators in the shape of a case. Similarly other police officers have also time and again informed the general public to cooperate with them to defeat COVID.
