| Four candidates in fray | | BAJ Polls | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 8: After the last date of withdrawal of nomination papers, four candidates are left in the fray for the post of President Bar Association Jammu, for which the election is being held on October 18. Mohammed Usman Salaria and Raman Chalotra on the day of withdrawals today withdrew their nominations for the post of vice president and joint secretary respectively. Their will be a 3- cornered contest for the post of Vice President and straight contests for both general secretary and joint secretary. Sunil Targotra, being the lone candidate for the post of cashier of the Bar Association, was declared elected unopposed today. Those left in the fray for the post of President are B S Manhas, J P Gandhi, R P Sharma and Sunil Sethi. Against the post of vice president those in the fray are M P Sharma, Rupinder Singh (Lucky) and Surinder Kour while for the post of general secretary the tussle is between Parvinder Singh (Micky) and Rajesh Thapa. There will be straight contest between Parvin Pandoh and Rajesh Gupta for the post of joint secretary, B S Slathia returning officer, Bar Association said in a handout. . |
