JAMMU, Oct 8: Fearing unfairness in coming Assembly elections, Backward Classes Democratic Party has urged upon the Governor to ensure the free and fair elections for the welfare of the people of the state.
Addressing press conference here on Wednesday, President BCDP, Sheeraz Ahmed Azhari said that the free and fair elections were the need of the hour but the way the authorities are handling the situation, the fairness seems to be a remote possibility.
" The Governor seeks suggestions only from the representatives of limited political parties and ignores scores of other political forces having considerable base in the state of Jammu and Kashmir," he alleged..
He said that the bias of the authorities is amply clear as they totally ignored the majority of political forces of the state.
He further said that his party workers would organize a sit in dharna in case the authorities continue to ignore the other political parties during political meetings. |
