| Separatists have lost ground: UKF | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, Oct 8: Stating that separatist forces in Kashmir have lost their base United Kashmiriyat Forum (UKF) has suggested them to join the mainstream and engage themselves in society building. In a statement issued here on Wednesday after a meet of its executive members, President United Kashmiriyat Forum (UKF) Bharat Raina said that the people of the valley were now fed up with the repeated calls for Bandh and hartals and wishes to live peacefully. " The dismal response of the people during recent call for ‘Lal Chowk chalo’ is an eye opener for so called separatist forces as people totally ignored Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and other leaders to assemble at historical venue even after defying curfew," Raina said. Suggesting the separatist forces to join mainstream and contribute in nation building, Raina said that the people of Kashmir have well understood their game plan and it was convenient for them to stop befooling the people and help in peace and progress of Nation as a whole. The members of the Forum on the occasion thanked all the people of the valley for not responding the dictates of the S.A. Geelani, Yasin malik and other separatist groups. The members on the occasion asked them to come forward and extend full support for restoring normalcy in the state and cautioned them against the self centered forces looking for the opportunities to amass wealth than to worry about common people. |
