| JSM for enhances wages to PHE workers | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Oct 8: Accusing the government of its step motherly attitude towards the workers of PHE department, the JSM (P) has asked the authorities to bring their pay scale at par with their counterparts working in the valley. In a meeting held here on Wednesday the members condemned the attitude of government to end the discrimination with the workers of the department and to release their emoluments which have been pending for last ten months. JSM (P) leaders demanded a Judicial Inquiry into the matter so that the pay scale of workers of Jammu can be brought at par with their counter parts in Kashmir. They said that necessary action as per law must also be taken against the guilty officials and ministers of the previous Government responsible for this blatant discrimination. The Morcha regretted that while the consolidated workers of Kashmir region were given Rs: 2100 per month the similarly placed workers in Jammu were paid just Rs 500-700 per month since the past three years. JSM (P) leaders urged the Governor to issue necessary instructions to his Advisors to immediately ensure that these workers of Jammu region also get the same wages as their Kashmiri counterparts with the arrears from the dates it was enhanced for Kashmiri Workers along with releasing all the due salaries of all the PHE Those present on the occasion included Capt.
